
Tanzania
is a politically stable country and has essentially
always been so since its creation in 1964. It's
a
wonderful place to visit but as is the case of a
lot of countries, you have to be careful in the
big cities
(Arusha, Dar es Salaam and Stone Town in Zanzibar)
where pick-pockets are numerous and savvy. It's
wise
to be wary of people you meet on the streets and
come up to tourists to offer all sorts of things,
from safaris to bracelets. It's a buyer-beware market.
Never exchange money on the street, even if the
exchange
